Nature lovers discover paradise upon visiting Rio. Home of hundreds of species of plants and other types of wild life, some of them threatened with extinction, Tijuca Forest, with 3200 hectares, is the largest urban forest in the world. Its attractions, which are close to any part of the city, include Cascatinha (little water fall), the Capela Mayrink (Mayrink Chapel), the Lago das Fadas (the Lake of the Fairies) and other nooks ideal for exploring or for family recreation.

Grumari Beach, its native vegetation preserved and surrounded by mountains covered with green, is a paradise almost unknown to tourists.
